the location is a big win!!! i was at the center of gion. it was very near to kiyomizudera and hanamikoji dori, so exploring was easy and convenient. access to key attractions was effortless.

the location was excellent , especially for early morning visits to major shrines. it was convenient to access these sites before the crowds arrived. i also liked the very nice common areas and appreciated the availability of baggage storage.
the room had an unbearable smell , which i initially thought was typical of tatami or walls in ryokans. however , after staying in other ryokans , i realized this odor was unusual. this.
